PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying, to issue a direction to the 1st respondent police to complete the investigation within a specific period of four weeks and file final report in Crime No.52 of 2010, on the file of the City Crime Branch, Coimbatore - 641 018, before the Jurisdictional Court.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed a direction to the 1st respondent police to complete the investigation within a specific period of four weeks and file final report in Crime No.52 of 2010, on the file of the City Crime Branch, Coimbatore - 641 018, before the Jurisdictional Court.
2. The learned Public Prosecutor would submit that the respondent police has filed a status report stating that the first respondent has completed the investigation as early as on 23.06.2012 and filed final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Coimbatore. Therefore, the charge sheet notice No.22 of 2012 also served to the defacto complainant herein. But the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
submitted that he personally verified the Court and the FIR is still pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.III, Coimbatore. However, according to the prosecution, they completed the investigation and filed a final report and the same has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Coimbatore. Therefore, the prayer has sought in this petition has become infructuous.
3. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a petition before the concerned Jurisdictional Magistrate in the manner known to law. If the first respondent is not filed any final report and the same is directed to file a final report with in a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Recording the said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is dismissed as infructuous.
