..Respondents This case is taken up for settlement before the Lok Adalat. Both parties are present. Ms.Ramya V.Rao, learned counsel for the appellant, M/s.I.Malar, learned counsel for the 2nd respondent are present. After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows:

TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The claimant has filed the appeal against the order of the tribunal for enhancement of compensation awarded in a sum of Rs.4,89,549/- with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum. The parties have arrived at a settlement. The claimant is

present in person along with his counsel. The claimant has agreed to receive a consolidated sum of Rs.2,50,000/- in full quit over and above the amount awarded by the tribunal. This amount shall be deposited by the Insurance Company within a period of eight weeks from today, less the amount, if any, already deposited. On such deposit being made, the appellant/claimant is permitted to withdraw the entire award amount without making any formal application.

2. The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through RTGS/NEFT to the party concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed, if any.

25 of LSA Act 1987 as amended in 1994.
