ORDER

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition has been taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct election and constitute managing committee for the third respondent Society under Section 32 of Puducherry Co-operative Societies Act 1972.

3.The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that the elections have not been held to elect the office bearers for the third respondent Society.

4.Heard Mr.R.Rajarajan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.A.Tamilvanan, learned Additional Government Pleader (Pondy), who 2/4

accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.R.Sreedhar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the third respondent.

5.Mr.R.Sreedhar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the third respondent has placed before this Court a written instruction received by him from the third respondent intimating him that the third respondent has passed a Resolution unanimously, deciding to conduct election to the members of the third respondent to elect the Committee of Management as expeditiously as possible not later than 30.06.2023.

6.Since an unconditional undertaking has been given by the third respondent Society that they shall hold the elections to the third respondent Society on or before 30.06.2023, this writ petition is disposed of by recording the letter dated 14.01.2023 referred to supra. Learned counsel for the petitioner is also satisfied with the same. Consequently, connected W.M.P. stands closed. No costs.
