O R D E R

The petitioner/de facto complainant has filed this petition seeking direction to transfer the investigation in Crime No.47 of 2016 from the file of the 2nd respondent to the file of CBCID, Guindy, Chennai or any other competent investigating agency.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that on completion of investigation in Crime No.47 of 2016, charge sheet was filed before the committal Court. After committal the same was taken on file by the learned Mahila Court, Villupuram as S.C.No.264 of 2017, for the offence under https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ Page numbers

Sections 498(A) and 304(b) IPC. He further submitted that totally there are 3 accused and 19 witnesses in this case, out of which 17 witnesses were examined and two more witnesses are to be examined.

3. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the Trial Court to dispose of the case without any further delay.

4. Considering the above submissions, this Court is of the view that already 17 witnesses were examined in this case, the Trial Court shall complete the trial within a reasonable time, immediately after lifiting of the lock down and to normal functioning of the Court.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
