This Criminal Original petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the Court below in Crl.MP No.225 of 2024 dated 04.01.2024, dismissing the application filed for amendment of the name of the petitioner in the above order.

Heard Mr.D.Padmanabhan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent.

In the considered view of this Court, there is no dispute regarding the identity of the petitioner and there seems to be some confusion in mentioning the name of the petitioner as Logu @ Loganathan instead of Logu @ Loganathan @ Logesh. The Court below ought to have allowed this amendment. Hence, the order passed by the Court below in Crl MP No.225 of 2024 dated 04.01.2024 is set-aside. The amendment of the name shall be carried out in the bail order.
