PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to issue appropriate direction for expeditious disposal of R.C.O.P.No.15 of 2015 pending on the file of the learned Principal District Munsiff at Alandur within a time that may be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The prayer sought for in the present revision petition is to direct the learned Principal District Munsiff, Alandur to dispose of R.C.O.P.No.15 of 2015 within a stipulated time.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner herein had filed R.C.O.P.No.15 of 2015 against the respondent herein to vacate and hand over the possession of the premises. The learned counsel would further submit that the petitioner herein is a widow and a senior citizen and for her livelihood, she is depending upon the rental income. It is further contended that even though the respondent has filed his counter, he has not commenced the enquiry, which shows the intention of the respondent in dragging on the proceedings. Hence, the learned counsel would pray this Court to issue a direction to the learned trial Judge to dispose of the said application within a time frame.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

4. On perusal of the adjudication orders, it is seen that the petition has been filed in the year 2015 and the counter has also been filed by the respondent in 2016 and the matter has been repeatedly adjourned on many occasions. The matter is now pending for enquiry.

5. Hence, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District Munsiff at Alandur to dispose of R.C.O.P.No.15 of 2015, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, the civil revision petition stands disposed of. No costs.
