Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondent not to insist the production of original documents mentioned in the notice dated 07.03.2018 and to accept the certified true copies of the same in connection with CBI Case No.RC MA1 2016 A 47 dated 26.12.2016. ORDER

This Criminal Original petition is filed, seeking direction to the respondent not to insist the production of original documents mentioned in the notice dated 07.03.2018 and to accept the certified and true copies of the same.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Public Prosecutor.

In the course of investigation, certain documents namely, Pan Card, Election ID, Driving License and Aadhar Card of the petitioner herein, have been sought for by the Investigation Agency. But, the petitioner apprehends that originals of the said documents may not be returned by the Investigation Officer, which may cause inconvenience to the petitioner in day to day affairs.

This Court finds some force in the said submission. Hence, the first respondent is directed to verify the originals of the documents sought for by them, which are necessary for the sake of investigation compare it with that of the true copies certified by the petitioner and return back the originals to the petitioner.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original petition stands disposed of.

Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
