O R D E R

This Contempt Petition is filed alleging violation of the order dated 11.12.2018 passed in W.P.No.32572 of 2018, wherein this Court directed the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioner as 'Forest Watcher' on par with his Junior. From the relief sought in the said Writ Petition, it is evident that the petitioner claimed regularization of his services on par with his Junior viz., 'Karuppan'.

2. In response to the notice issued by this Court, the second respondent filed a counter-affidavit stating that the name referred to by the petitioner in the relief portion of the Writ Petition is wrongly mentioned as 'Karuppan' instead of 'Karupaiah' and it is also further stated that the services of the said 'Karupaiah' were regularized in the post of 'Forest Watcher' with effect from 08.03.1999 vide G.O (Ms) No.8, Environment and Forest (FR-II) dated 21.01.2019 and accordingly, the case of the petitioner was also considered and his services were regularized with effect from the said order dated 08.03.1999 by issuing a Government Order in G.O (Ms) No.1, Environment and Forest (FR-II) dated dated 01.01.2021. A copy of the said G.O (Ms) No.1 dated 01.01.2021 as well as G.O (Ms) No.8 dated 21.01.2019 are placed before this Court.

This Court thoroughly perused the said Government Orders and as seen from G.O (Ms) No.8 dated 21.01.2019, the name of the said 'Karuppaiya' was included in Annexure-II and his services were regularized with effect from 08.03.1999. From G.O (Ms) No.1 dated 01.01.2021, it is noticed that the services of the petitioner is also regularized in the post of 'Forest Watcher' with effect from 08.03.1999.

4. In the circumstances, the order passed by this Court is fully complied with by the respondents and hence, this Court does not find any reason to continue with the contempt proceedings any further and accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands closed. In case, if the petitioner is aggrieved by G.O (Ms) No.1 dated 01.01.2021 in any way, it is open for the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
