PRAYER : The Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, pleased to call for all the records and quash all the proceedings in C.C.No.67 of 2019 on the file of the Additional Special Court for politicians cases (MP & MLA) at Chennai.

O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for all the records and quash all the proceedings in C.C.No.67 of 2019 on the file of the learned Additional Special Court for politicians cases (MP & MLA) at Chennai.

When the matter is taken up today the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the State Government had issued a Government Order in G.O.No.362 dated 26.07.2021 for withdrawal of the C.C.No.67 of 2019 which was pending on the file of the learned Additional Special Court for politicians cases (MP & MLA) at Chennai. Subsequent to the Government Order, the respondent has also filed a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Crl.M.P.No.12308 of 2021, based on that the prosecution has been withdrawn. Subsequently, the order of withdrawal from prosecution has also been confirmed by the first bench of this Court vide order dated 07.03.2022 in Suo Motu W.P.No.16154 of 2020.

In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
