ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.402 of 2016, pending on his file.

2. The case of the petitioner is that as against one Vinoth Kumar and another, he has lodged a complaint and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.402 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294 (b), 506(1) and 420 IPC. Though the complaint was registered on 18.08.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.402 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is ordered.
