ORDER

Mr.L.JaiVenkatesh, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for respondents Nos. 1 and 2. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to the respondents to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2021.

3. The facts of the case are as follows:

The petitioner is living at 19/1, Mettu Street, Ernavoor, Chennai along with her husband's brother's family.

The petitioner is the absolute co-owner of the property. Initially, the said property was given to her mother in law viz., Thatchayani Ammal as seethanam. The said Thatchayani Ammal has four sons and a daughter. After demise of the petitioner's husband and mother in law, the petitioner approached her brother in law to separate the shares in the above said property. Due to the dispute between them, the brother in law had disconnected the electricity connection in the petitioner's portion. Therefore, the petitioner gave a representation dated 20.12.2021 to the respondents to provide an electricity connection in her name, Till date, there is no progress in the above said representation. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition before this Court seeking appropriate action.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.12.2021 within the time stipulated by this court.

5. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation will be considered and necessary orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents, and perused the materials available on record.

7. Considering the limited request made by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the petitioner to make a fresh representation along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the respondents are satisfied with the proofs produced by the petitioner, the respondents will consider the petitioners representation dated 20.12.2021and take necessary steps on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks, thereafter.

8. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
