Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to direct the third respondent to issue Patta in his name for the schedule property situated at 133/1, 116/9B, 153/4, 153/6 and 157/17 at No.4, Urapakkam Village, Chengalpattu Taluk. In this regard, the petitioner has also made a representation to the third respondent on 14.08.2017.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation has not been considered so far. At this stage, this Court, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the third respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.08.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
