... Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to take appropriate action on the direction order in O.MU.6507 of 2021 dated 15.03.2021 issued by the second respondent and to grant patta to the petitioner. For Petitioner : M/s.R.Varalakshmi For Respondents :

Mr.T.Chezhiyan Additional Government Pleader

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking a direction to the first respondent to take appropriate action on the direction order in O.MU.6507/2021 dated 15.03.2021 issued by the second respondent and to grant patta to the petitioner.

2. Mr.T.Chezhiyan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. In view of the limited relief sought for in this petition and on the consent expressed by the Learned counsel appearing on either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioner purchased a property at Pammathukulam Village, Avadi, Tiruvallur district, in survey No.35/1A1A1A1 measuring about 2400 Sq.ft. through a registered Document No.9478/1992. The petitioner had applied many times for patta before the first respondent. Since, there is no response from the first respondent, the petitioner made a complaint to the second respondent. The second respondent sent a direction to first respondent in O.MU.6507/2021 dated 15.03.2021 to take appropriate action and grant patta, but till date no orders has been passed. Hence, this Writ petition is filed.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court directs the first respondent to take appropriate action on the direction order in O.MU.6507/2021 dated 15.03.2021 issued by the second respondent and to grant patta to the petitioner.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's application dated 15.03.2021 will be considered by the Respondent within the time frame fixed by this Court.

6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the first respondent to take appropriate action on the order in O.MU.6507/20-21 dated 15.03.2021 issued by the second respondent, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
