Mr.V.Prakash, learned Senior Advocate for the applicant/writ petitioner submits that he would not press the amendment seeking declaration to declare null and void and struck down Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board Act and the amendment would be restricted "to call for the records relating to the 3rd respondent BP.No.91 dated 18.10.2022 and to quash the same and consequently direct the respondents to release the DA, Pay Commission and other benefits without differentiating the existing employees and the retired employees in the same department and on par with the other public sector undertakings and thus render justice".

As the amendment is not insisted with regard to declaration of Section 3 as null and void and is restricted to the aforementioned narration, the amendment application is partly allowed and disposed of.
