Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 30.11.2015 to survey, measure and mark the boundaries of petitioner's land survey No. 361/1A, Chinna Salem Town Panchayat, Chinna Salem Sub District, Kallakurichi District, situated in the new Ward No.13, on the Salem Main Road, admeasuring a total extent of 277.5 sq.ft. within a stipulated period.

O R D E R

The petitioner submitted an application dated 16.11.2015 to the 2nd respondent requesting the said authority to survey, measure and mark the boundaries of her property. As the said application was not taken up by the 2nd respondent for further action, it was followed by a legal notice dated 30.11.2015 to the respondents. On its receipt, the 1st respondent directed the 2nd respondent to do the needful as seen from the proceedings in X/K/M2-237334-2015 dated 03.12.2015. Seeking to expedite the said process, the present writ petition has been filed.

Considering the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders pursuant to the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 03.12.2015, after affording an opportunity to the petitioner as well as to third party, if any, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
