Today, when the writ appeal is listed under the caption "for withdrawal" on the basis of the letter dated 24.10.2018, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant submitted that the appellant is not pursuing the case and hence, the writ appeal may be dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to approach this Court, if necessary and has also made an endorsement to that effect

2. In view of the same, the writ appeal stands dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to approach this Court, if necessary. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also dismissed.
