Mr.Shanmugam, appellant/partyin-person is present today. Heard the learned counsel on either side. The amount involved in this case is Rs.24,46,000/-. If the petitioner wants to compound the offence, he has to necessarily pay double the amount viz., 48,92,000/-.

2. This Court directs the appellant to bring the demand draft for 50% of Rs.48,92,000/- in the name of the Registrar General, High Court, Madras on 27.11.2023.

3. Post the case on 27.11.2023.
