O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH,J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed by the elder sister of the detenue for a direction to the respondents to produce the detenue and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her sister went missing on 20.02.2015, in connection with which a case in Crime No.75 of 2015 for woman missing has been registered on 20.02.2015 and investigation is pending.

3. It appears that the marriage of the missing girl was scheduled to be held on 09.02.2015 with one Vijayabaskar, which was not acceptable to the girl, on account of which, she seems to have left the parental home with the second respondent.

4. In such circumstance, this is not a case of illegal detention and hence, Writ of habeas corpus cannot be issued. However, the first respondent is directed to proceed with the investigation in Crime No.75 of 2015 and keep the petitioner informed about the developments in this case.
