The petitioner herein apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(A) read with Section 4(1-A)(ii) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition ( Amendment) Act, 2024 in Crime No.1010 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of brandy bottles - 1440 Nos. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that, petitioner has one previous case.
5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the fact that huge quantity of brandy bottles is involved in this case and the fact that petitioner has one previous case and if he is released on bail, there is a possibility that the petitioner will involve in similar offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
