O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to transfer of investigation of the case pending in Crime No.1081 of 2014 from 4th respondent to 5th respondent and to direct the 5th respondent to hold fair and expeditious investigation of the case by deputing a suitable officer of CBI, Chennai. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. It is seen that the investigation in Crime No.1081 of 2014 is pending on the file of the 4th respondent police. Now, almost five years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now.

3. However, considering that the crime is of the year 2014, the 4th respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.1081 of 2014 and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already filed.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
