The present Application has been filed to extend the period of arbitration between the applicant and the respondent, which concluded before the Arbitral Tribunal, by a further period of six months.

2. Mr.H.Raveen Maria Henry, learned counsel, undertakes to file vakalat on behalf of the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the applicant submits that the arbitration proceedings were periodically conducted by the Arbitrator and the evidence of the claimant has been completed. Now the matter is posted for respondent's side evidence. He further submits that the mandate of arbitration prescribed by this Court had expired on 12.12.2022 and hence, seeks a further period of six months.

4. The learned counsel for the respondent has no objection for extension of time.

5. Considering the fact that the mandate of arbitration had expired on 12.12.2022, a further period of six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order is granted to conclude the arbitration proceedings.
