This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first and second respondents to pass orders on the appeal memorandum dated 16.04.2019 seeking transfer of patta in favour of the legal heirs of late C.Ayyasamy, pursuant to the second respondent's report made in Na.Ka.No.A1/816/2019 dated ill.06.2019, on the basis of the enquiry dated 21.05.2019, on merits and as per law and within a time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. While pending this Writ Petition, this Court directed that the first respondent shall file a report on the action taken on the recommendation dated 19.06.2019 made by the second respondent herein. The second respondent filed a status report, from which, it reveals that the subject land, ad-measuring an extent of 27.50 acres, comprised in S.Nos.51/2, 52/2A and 52/2B, situated at Okkiyam Thorapakkam, stands registered in the name of the petitioner's father.
3.Recording the above facts, this Writ Petition is closed. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that now, the patta stands in the name of the petitioner's father and he already died. Therefore, the petitioner and other legal heirs lead by them, are at liberty to seek transfer of patta in their name. No costs.
