The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 406, 465, 468 & 420 of IPC, in Crime No.144 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the de facto complainant is that the petitioner cheated the de facto complainant by obtaining payment of Rs.12,00,000/- (Rupees Twelve Lakhs Only) on false promise and assurance on getting job in Southern Railway Ticket Collector job.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prayed for granting anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the allegations and also the fact that the case is in the initial stage of the investigation and that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is essential, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
