A.No.215 of 2023 in C.S.No.99 of 1951 A.A. NAKKIRAN , J, This application has been filed for the prayer seeking direction from this Court for issuance of advertisements calling for applications from the members of the Veerasaiva Lingayath Community and for fixing the date, within which the applications may be submitted and specifying the newspapers in which the advertisements are to be published and to appoint five Trustees.

2.Since the term of the Trustees, i.e., five years term expired on 20.11.2023, all the surviving Trustees filed this application seeking the aforesaid prayer.

3.In view of the earlier orders, where periodically five eligible persons from the community concerned are appointed as Trustees to look after and administer the Trust and in order to identify the five eligible persons for appointment for the next five years term, it become necessitated

to identify them and for the purpose, eligible persons' willingness have to be obtained by calling applications from those belong to the said community. 4.Therefore, the aforesaid prayer seeking permission, inviting applications from the eligible persons of the community has to be accepted. 5.In view of the above, the following orders are passed in this application:

"(1).That the applicants herein are permitted to give advertisements in one English daily, i.e., "New Indian Express" and one Tamil daily "Dinamani", having circulation in Chennai by giving the advertisement within ten days from today, inviting application from eligible persons from Veerasaiva Lingayath Community people and the eligible persons shall make applications by giving the minimum information, such as Name, Father's Name/Husband's Name, Age, Address, Proof for Community, Educational Qualification and present position/occupation with telephone number and e-mail ID as well as the proof for residence. These requirements also shall be indicated in the advertisement.

(2).Such application shall be filed before the Trustees or the Trust within three weeks from the date of publication. (3).On receipt of all the applications within the said period of three weeks the same shall be scrutinized, based on which, a report in respect of each of the eligible candidates shall be filed before this Court during the next hearing, which is fixed on 13.03.2024."

Post this matter on 13.03.2024.
