Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to direct the 3rd Respondent to pass the final orders for the enquiry conducted on 25.07.2025 and to take action against the 5th Respondent by considering representation submitted by the petitioner dated 10.12.2025 to respondents within a time frame to be fixed by this court. ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 10.12.2025 requesting the third respondent to take action against the fifth respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition is that the fifth respondent had demanded a bribe from the petitioner for the purpose of transfer of patta in his father's name. In view of the same, the petitioner had given a complaint to the third respondent on 14.07.2025 requesting the third respondent to take appropriate action against the fifth respondent for demanding bribe. Since the said representation was not considered despite the third respondent having conducted an enquiry on 25.07.2025, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, and on instructions, he denies the averments contained in this writ petition.
4. However, being a serious matter, that is, demanding bribe, this Court deems it fit to direct the third respondent to complete the enquiry conducted on 25.07.2025 based on the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025, and pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this Court directs the third respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025 requesting the third respondent to take action against the fifth respondent for demanding bribe for the purpose of the transfer of patta in his father's name, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation dated 14.07.2025 of the petitioner. No Costs. W.M.P.No.1489 of 2026 is closed.
