P.N.PRAKASH.J., AND RMT.TEEKAA RAMAN.J., [Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH.J.,] This contempt petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents 1 to 3 for committing contempt of court by disobeying the order of ad-interim injunction dated 17.07.2018 made in I.A.No.8500 of 2018 in O.S.No.3510 of 2018 on the file of the V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.

2. This court, while dismissing the contempt petition by order dated 06.07.2021 gave a directions:- "15. Therefore, in the light of the above, we are of the opinion that this Contempt Petition is not maintainable and accordingly, the same is dismissed. No Costs.

16. However, considering the facts of the case, it is necessary for this Court to issue some direction to the learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, for early disposal of OS.No.3510 of 2018 filed by the petitioner. Accordingly, the learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, is directed to dispose of O.S.No.3510 of 2018 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."

4. While so, the learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, by his letter dated 25.07.2022 sought extension of time for the disposal of the suit. Accordingly, the contempt petition was against listed on 03.08.2022 and this court passed the following orders:- "This Court vide order dated 06.07.2021, while dismissing Cont.P.No.346 of 2020, had directed the learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, to dispose of O.S.No.3510 of 2018 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

The learned V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, has sent a letter dated 25.07.2022, seeking two months further time to dispose of O.S.No.3510 of 2018.

Mr.Veerasekaran, learned counsel representing Tamil Nadu Housing Board would submit that the trial has been completed and the matter has been posted for hearing the arguments of the plaintiff. Accepting the request of the trial Judge, time is extended till 31.10.2022 to dispose of O.S.No.3510 of 2018."

5. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned standing counsel for TNHB produced a xerox copy of the judgment dated 26.09.2022 passed in O.S.No.3510 of 2018 by the V Assistant Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai.
