Respondents This Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent dated 09.05.2015 in Memo No.386/BCDFGISSSV/2015 against the petitioner Manikandan @ Ponnai Manikandan, Male, aged 29 years S/o.Sekar, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal-Ii, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set him at liberty. [Order of the Court was made by S.TAMILVANAN, J.] Petitioner, who is the detenu, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 09.05.2015 against him, branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, would submit that the detention order passed against the petitioner dated 09.05.2015 in Memo No.386/BCDFGISSSV/2015 on the file of the second respondent is revoked on the opinion expressed by the Advisory Board by the Government of India in G.O.Rt.No.4122, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 02.07.2015 and produced a copy of the said order.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
