Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents to construct the new building for the office of the third respondent in the piece of land allotted by the District Collector, Kancheepuram District in S.No.1456 of Alandur Village, vide his sanctioned letter dated 17.07.2018 in Na.Ka.No.4575/2018.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by THE HON'BLE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) The petitioner states that the third respondent SubRegistrar Office, which is centrally established and well connected by public mode of transport, is proposed to be shifted to the rented faraway place in Guindy SIDCO complex from 01.08.2018, and if the same is done, it will cause undue hardship to the general public of Alandur area. The petitioner further states that upon the efforts taken by the elected https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representatives of that area, the District Collector, Kancheepuram has allotted a piece of land measuring about 4360 sq.ft.within the Tahsildar, Alandur Office Compound for putting up construction for this purpose and hence the authorities can put up construction for their own building in the said land. It is also stated that a representation has been made by the petitioner to the first respondent on 28.07.2018, in this connection.

2.Mr.T.M.Pappaiah, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents 1 and 3 and Mr.Rajagopalan, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the second respondent.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.07.2018 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
