PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records pertaining to Memo No.1261/BCDFGISSSV/2024 dated 18.12.2024 on the file of the second respondent herein and set aside the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's mother in law, Kasthuri, wife of Ravishankar, aged 50 years, now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.489, Home, Prohibition and Excise (X) Department, dated 31.01.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.

2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
