Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the Respondents 2 to 4 herein to take necessary and appropriate action to forbear the 9th Respondent from proceeding with the illegal construction of the marriage hall and meeting room, near to the Petitioners Government Higher Secondary School, in an extent of about 1 Acre 4 Cents, Comprised in Survey No.56/2C1, situated at Pallakacherry Village, vanapuram Taluk, Kallakurichi District which is a public place and further direct the 3rd respondent to issue an order of complete ban for construction of the marriage hall and meeting room by the 9th respondent by considering the petitioners representation dated 15.12.2023.

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.T.Dhanasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 7, Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondent 8 and Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 10 and 11.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to approach the District Collector.

3. The petitioner may file an application before the District Collector or any other authority, as may be permissible under law.
