Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the refusal check slip order dated 26.12.2024 made in RFL/Purasaivakkam/146/2024 passed by the respondent to register the Release deed dated 25.12.2024 executed by the petitioner in favour of her sons pertaining to House and Ground bearing Door No.41, Stephenson Lane, Plot No.10, Vyasarpadi, Chennai-600 039, in Block No.26, Perambur Village, Perambur Taluk, comprised in Survey No.496, Present Survey No.496/2B, measuring 1 Ground 185 Sq.ft., (i.e.,) 2585 Sq.ft., by accepting the registered certified copy of the Sale deed dated 14.12.1990 vide Document No.436 of 1991, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Challenging the Refusal Check Slip dated 26.12.2024, the petitioner herein has filed the above writ petition praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to quash the impugned check slip and direct the respondent to register the document.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The document in question is a settlement deed which has been returned by the respondent vide refusal check slip and directed the petitioner to produce the original parent documents.

4. In the light of the Judgment passed by this Court in N.Ramayee v. Sub-Registrar, Registration Department, Valapady, Salem in W.P.No.674 of 2020, [2020 (6) CTC 697], the impugned 2/4

order cannot be sustained.

5. Therefore in the light of the above judgment, the order of the respondent cannot be sustained and accordingly, this writ petition is allowed and the impugned order is set aside and the respondent is directed to register the document within a period of two weeks from the date of the representation of the document.
