Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue patta in the name petitioners jointly in respect of the property situate at SF No.299/3-C, TS No.69, Block No.237, Velachery Village, Velachery to an extent of 1119 sq.ft. or 104 sq.mtr, within a time frame to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioners seek a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 27.01.2020 and to grant patta in the name of the petitioners in respect of the property in SF No.299/3-C (correlated to TS No.69) of Velachery Village, Velachery.

2.Mrs.R.Janaki, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for respondents 1 to 4 and made a statement on instructions that an enquiry is scheduled to take place on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

05.03.2021 at 03.00 p.m. at the office of the fourth respondent/Tahsildar.

3.The said statement of the learned Additional Government Pleader is recorded.

4.In view of the above, no further direction is required to be given except that the fourth respondent is directed to issue notice to all the parties who are likely to be affected by his decision, provide them a fair and effective hearing and to dispose of the matter through a speaking order within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, subject to the period, if any lost for the responsibilities associated with the conduct of the General Elections, 2021.

6.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
