Respondent Prayer : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.9.2022 with regard to make entry of the petitioner's wife name Mrs.R.Vediyammal as nominee and with family members in the petitioner service book in the light Govt. Letter No.18522/FR-3(2)/2015-1 Personnel and Administrative Reforms (FR-III) Department dated 21.5.2015 for maintenance of service Registers and Entries in the Service Book. For Petitioner :

ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal in the admission stage itself.

2. Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondent.

3. In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks for inclusion of his wife's name R.Vediyammal as a nominee in the petitioner's service book maintained by the respondent. The petitioner is working as a Sweeper with the respondent Town Panchayat.

4. Heard Mr.A. Baskaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

5. It is now brought to the notice of this Court by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent that the name of R.Vediyammal has been included as the nominee for the petitioner in his service book by Proceedings dated 22.09.2022 of the respondent Town Panchayat. The said Proceedings has also been placed on record before this Court.

6. Since the prayer sought for in this writ petition has been achieved, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. After recording the fact that the name of R.Vediyammal has been included as nominee of the petitioner in his service book, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
