This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to file final report in Crime No.6 of 2017 on the file of the second respondent police. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the FIR was filed in the year 2017 and the petitioner approached the second respondent on various dates to expedite the investigation but till now no action has been taken. Stating so, the learned counsel for the petitioner prayed for a direction to the second respondent police to file final report within a stipulated time frame.

3.Mr.C.Emalias, Additional Public Prosecutor takes notice for the respondents.

4.Since the First Information Report has been filed in the year 2017 and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file final report in Cr.No.6 of 2017 pending on his file, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
