Respondent in W.P.No.1004 of 2023 Common Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records and quashing award dated 14.05.2018 in ID No.327/2012, ID No.328/2012 and ID No.326/2012, respectively issued by the Presiding Officer, Ist Additional Labour Court, Chennai and
consequently direct the 2nd Respondent to reinstate the petitioner as a Grade IV employee with continuity of service, back wages and all other attendant and consequential benefits.

The Award was passed by the Labour Court on 14.05.2018 and these writ petitions have been filed with an exorbitant delay of more than five years. The explanation that has been given in the affidavit filed in support of these writ petitions is also not convincing. When this Court expressed its mind, the learned counsel for the petitioners sought for the permission of this Court to withdraw these writ petitions with a liberty to raise all the grounds in the connected writ petition pending in W.P.No.27697 of 2018.
