ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the 1st respondent to secure and produce the petitioner's husband Prabu before this Court and set him at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that she got married to T. Prabu and through the wedlock she has a son by name Thangavel, aged about 6 years. It is the grievance of the petitioner that her husband T. Prabu went missing from 11.12.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure him.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Tharamani Police Station Crime No.53 of 2022 has been registered on 27.01.2022 for "man missing " and investigation is in progress.

Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Tharamani, to supervise the investigation in Tharamani Police Station Crime No.53 of 2022 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu T. Prabu, male, is secured, he shall be produced before the XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, under intimation to the petitioner.
