ORDER
This Petition has been filed seeking to punish the respondents under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act for having violated the order passed in WP No.11393 of 2021 dated 18.01.2024.
2.During the course of hearing, the learned Standing counsel for the respondent would submit that an amount of Rs.1,16,878/- has been paid to the petitioner already and also on 07.06.2025, an amount of Rs.77,191/- is paid towards Gratuity. By this payment, the
respondent has settled the monetary benefits payable to the petitioner. After his retirement, for payment of pension, the respondent sent proposals and from 05.07.2025 onwards every month, they will pay the pension at a sum of Rs.27,719/- to the petitioner. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has also acceded to the payment of Rs,77,191/- to the petitioner towards Gratuity.
4. Considering the submission of the learned counsel for the respondent that all monetary benefits payable to the petitioner were settled and they are going to pay pension to the petitioner on 5th of every month from July 2025 onwards, in our considered view, the representation of the petitioner has been considered as directed by this Court vide Writ Order. In view of the same, no further adjudication is required in this Contempt Petition. It is made clear that if the payment of pension to the petitioner is not made by 05.07.2025, it is open to the petitioner to make a mention before this Court to restore this Contempt Petition to its file. 5.Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is closed. 10-06-2025 dn To P.Thiruvambalam Pillai, The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Coimbatore Division-II, Coimbatore.
