The prayer sought for in the present petition is to set aside the order passed by the office of the first respondent herein in R.C.No.107546/Con.IV(1)2017 dated 08.12.2017 and direct the fourth respondent herein viz Deputy Commissioner of Police, St. Thomas Mount, Chennai to consider his representation dated 06.06.2017 & 12.07.2017.

2. The order under challenge is based on enquiry by the office of the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, Vepery. In view of the order being passed by the highest police officials of the state, stating that there is no imminent threat to the petitioner, it would not be appropriate to direct the respondent police to extend the protection.

3. Recording the statement made by the first respondent in impugned report dated 08.12.2017, the present Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
