This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 and 2 to forthwith give police protection to the petitioner and his family members based on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.12.2023.
2. Heard Mr.K.Selvaraj, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents 1 & 2.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 & 2 submitted that on the representation of the petitioner, no current paper or CSR has been assigned till date and a decision will be taken on the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2023 at the earliest.
4. In view of the submission made by learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take a decision on the petitioner's representation dated 06.12.2023 within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. During enquiry, the second respondent shall also take into 2/4
consideration the decree passed in O.S.No.630 of 2007 dated 30.06.2023 by the IV Additional District Munsif, Salem.
With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
