ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner, dated 26.06.2023 and 27.10.2023 and to disburse the amount of compensation kept in Revenue fixed deposit in respect of petitioner's land, measuring about acre 1.29 cents, compromised in Survey No.207/1 by the 2nd respondent acquired for the purpose of outer ring road, vide the Award Na.Ka.No.10/07/Award No.1/ 2001 dated 15.03.2001.

2. Mr.R.Vigneshwaran, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

3. Heard and perused the materials available on record.

4. This Writ Petition is filed seeking a simple writ of mandamus to consider the petitioner's representation. A perusal of the records shows that the Award has been passed in the year 2001 itself. After a period of 22 years, the petitioner has approached the authorities seeking compensation. Further, 2/5

it is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that there is no Patta for the said property and the petitioner has also not produced any document of title to show that he is the owner of the subject property. Under these circumstances, the petitioner is not entitled for the relief sought for in this writ petition.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed at the admission stage itself. No costs.
