Petitions filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., seeking to call for the records in C.C.Nos.1326 and 1327 of 2013 respectively, now pending trial on the file of the Fast Track Court-I, Egmore, Chennai, quash the complaint in so far as the petitioner alone is concerned.

For Respondent : Ms.T.Jayalakshmi for M/s.Paul and Paul C O M M O N O R D E R These criminal original petitions have been filed seeking to call for the records in C.C.Nos.1326 and 1327 of 2013 respectively, on the file of the Fast Track Court-I, Egmore, Chennai and to quash the complaint in so far as the petitioner alone is concerned.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that during the pendancy of these petitions, the entire proceedings were completed and the cases are now posted for arguments. Hence, if this Court renders any opinion in these petitions it may adversely affect the case of the petitioner as well as the respondent. Hence, without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the Trial Court to dispose of the cases, as early as possible. He would further submit that the petitioner is aged more than 80 years. Hence, the appearance of the petitioner before the Trial Court may be dispensed with and would further submit that the petitioner undertakes to appear on the judgment date. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent concede to the request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

4.In view of the above, this Court directs the Fast Track Court-I, Egmore, Chennai, to dispose of the cases in C.C.Nos.1326 and 1327 of 2013, as expeditiously as possible. The appearance of the petitioner before the Trial Court is dispensed with. However, the petitioner shall appear before the Trial Court on the judgment date.

5.With the above directions, these criminal original petitions are disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, are closed.
