ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- (The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners who were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 23.10.2021 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294 (b), 324, 452, 506(ii), 307 of IPC, in Crime No.485 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seek bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant's husband is a Panchayat President of Kottaiyur Village and that on 20.10.2021, due to previous enmity and vengence of one Sadasivam, who is the opponent person in the Panchayat Election, the petitioners and four others entered into the Panchayat office and attacked the defacto complainant's husband brutally with knife and caused him head injury and also gave life threat to him. Hence the complaint. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent and they have been falsely implicated in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

this case since, the petitioners happened to be the brother-in-laws of the said Sadasivam and that the petitioners have been suffering incarceration for more than 81 days from 23.10.2021. Hence, he would pray for grant of bail to the petitioners.

4.The learned Government Advocate would raise strong objection stating that the investigation has not completed and if the petitioners are released on bail, there is every possibility of the petitioners getting abscond and tampering the evidence. 5.Considering the nature of offence and the fact that the investigation is at the initial stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
