The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to transfer Patta No.2207 on the file of the 2nd respondent in 1/4
favour of the petitioner and other legal heirs of her late husband namely Aranganathan in pursuance of petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2022.
2. In respect of property at Survey No.247/2A situated at Chinnasalem Village, Kallakurichi District, it is the claim of the petitioner that the property originally stood in the name of the petitioner's husband one Aranganathan who died on 19.02.2022, therefore the petitioner and other legal heirs had made an application on 28.11.2022 to transfer and issue the patta in the name of the legal heirs including the petitioner. To consider the said representation, the present writ petition has been moved.
3. Heard Mr.A.G.Narasimhan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
4. The learned Government Advocate would submit that, the said representation submitted by the petitioner would be considered and necessary orders would be passed on merits within a time frame. 2/4

Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and having regard to the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders: There shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.11.2022 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
