Respondents PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the impugned order R.C.No.524/165441/NGB-1(2)/07 dated 10.10.2007 of the second respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to grant the accelerated promotion to the post of Sub-Inspctor of Police to the petitioner and for cash reward of Rs.2 lakhs in connection with the encounter and killing of forest brigand Veerappan as granted in G.O.Ms.No.153, HOME (Police VIII) Department dated 26.02.2006 together with all consequential service and monetary benefits.
