This writ petition is filed for the following relief: "To direct the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 31.10.2025 bearing File No. 56/190/2025 for registration of the political party "Namathu Makkal Kazhagam" under Section 29 A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, within a time limit as stipulated by this Court."

2. It appears that on 07.01.2026, the respondents have sought for certain clarification from the petitioner, which clarification has also 2/5

been submitted on 20.01.2026 by the petitioner. Therefore, it is clear that the petitioner's request is in active consideration.

3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to pass orders on the petitioner's application, preferably within a period of 1 month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
