ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "directing the respondents to include the petitioner Son namely A.Ragul in the Birth Certificate registration dated 01.08.2009 based on the petitioners representation dated 17.12.2025."

2. The Petitioner's case is that her son's name is A. Ragul, as evidenced by his Aadhaar Card and School Certificate. However, being uneducated and due to her ignorance, she did not mention her son's name while applying for his Birth Certificate. Consequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 17.02.2025 to the 2nd Respondent, requesting the inclusion of her son's name, A. Ragul, in the Birth Certificate originally registered on 01.08.2009. However, no action has been taken to date. Hence, the Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the respondents are ready to include the name of the child in the Birth Certificate. However, they are not willing to change the name of the father,

which is originally recorded as "Arun Kumar," though it is shown as "Aranganathan" in the Aadhaar Card and the School Certificate of the child.

4. In response, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice if the name of the child alone is included in the Birth Certificate.

5. Recording the above submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
