The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose his Second Appeal dated 19.07.2018 and a consequential direction to the Public Information Officer to furnish the information as per his RTI application dated 12.02.2018 and impose costs against the said officer for non furnishing the information under Section 20 as per the RTI Act.

2. No appearance for the petitioner. Mr.Niranjan Rajagopalan, learned counsel appearing for the respondent confirms that the Second Appeal of the petitioner has been taken on file by the respondent and has been registered as SA. No.5470 of 2018. He states that though the normal time https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

frame that is taken for disposal of the Second Appeal would be in the region of six months, bearing in mind the fact that the petitioner is a senior citizen, the appeal will be taken up and disposed of as expeditiously as possible, in any event within four (4) months from today.

3. Recording the same, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
