This writ petition is filed as against the impugned Notification, dated 4/1/2021, issued by the second respondent, in Na.Ka.No.578/2020. The impugned Notification has been made calling for the tenders to collect toll fee (Vandipettai Ayam) for the vehicles entering Kodumudi Town Panchayat limits, including parking charges.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent has flouted tender, without furnishing the details about where the vehicles to be parked for collecting charges. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Mr.Annai Ezhil, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents and produced a letter dated 20/1/2021, received from the Executive Officer, Kodumudi Town Panchayat, Kodumudi Taluk, Erode District, wherein it is clearly mentioned that auction has been conducted, on 20/1/2021, and the entire proceedings have been recorded. In the said auction 41 persons have been participated and one Mr.K.S.Vasudevan has obtained the contract, as he was the highest bidder and he quoted a sum of Rs.31,05,000/-.
4. Learned Government Advocate would submit that after issuing paper publication in Tamil Hindu (Coimbatore edition), auction had taken place. The petitioner was one of the participants and he was the successful bidder in the previous year. Based on the written instructions, the learned Government Advocate would submit that the vehicles are parking on the banks of Cauvery river, in S.No.671, without any hindrance to the common public.
5. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
