The present writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's bid Application submitted on 10.01.2011 for allotment of Franchise for area of Ambattur, Chennai and communicate the same to the petitioner.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that since the bid period was already over, nothing survives in this writ petition for further adjudication.

3. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
