ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated
18.12.2025 seeking to cancel the patta bearing No.2030 dated 26.02.2022 issued in favour of the third respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.The petitioner claims that patta No.2030 dated 26.02.2022 issued in favour of the third respondent for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, has been issued illegally. The petitioner seeks for cancellation of the same for which he had given a representation to the second respondent on 18.12.2025. Since the aforesaid representation was not considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2. Since no adverse order is being passed against the third respondent, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with. 4.
No prejudice would be caused to the official respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2025 seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of the third respondent is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections of the third respondent as well as any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5.This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.
6.For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2025 seeking to cancel the patta bearing No.2030 dated 26.02.2022 issued in favour of the third respondent for the property, morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the objections of the third respondent as well as any other third party whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 23-01-2026 vga To 1.The District Collector Salem District, Salem.
